Head Chef – Members sailing club in a stunning location

An exciting opportunity for an upbeat and personable chef to work in an exclusive member sailing club on Cornwall’s southwest coast.

  • Salary up to £40,000pa DOE

  • Hands-on operation - we are looking for a head chef or couple who want to join a kitchen team on a permanent basis

Our client is seeking a Head Chef or a hospitality couple to join their fantastically situated Sailing Club in the kitchen as Head Chef, based in a popular harbour village. This pivotal role within the kitchen and restaurant will support our client’s success by creating delicious, locally sourced produce.

Candidate Specification:

For this position, we are seeking applications from candidates with a strong passion and enthusiasm for local produce and a proven track record in similar roles.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Working effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent knowledge of seasonal foods and dishes
  • Exceptional communication skills and authoritative presence
  • Adherence to the highest hygiene standards
  • Effective teamwork and leadership
  • Creating daily specials menus
  • Planning events and functions
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

Working hours will be varied, including split shifts, weekends, and evenings.
