Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a Head Chef for a luxury hotel and venue in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Head Chef in overseeing multi-outlet kitchens, including restaurant and banqueting, and will run service with a hands-on leadership style.

The role offers progression to Head Chef in the future and is ideal for a Sous Chef aiming to advance. Experience in a busy country house hotel or venue is essential, with a track record of kitchen management

Qualifications

Experience in a busy country house hotel or venue.
Proven track record of kitchen management.
Hands-on leader with culinary excellence.
Experience running restaurant and banqueting service.

Responsibilities

Support and coach senior and junior chefs, ensuring high standards.
Lead Hygiene and Health & Safety training across the kitchen.
Monitor costs, margins and portion control to maximise profitability.
Produce fresh seasonal menus for restaurant, events and weddings at the property.
Run service and motivate and manage junior chefs during peak periods.

Our client is recruiting a Head Chef to assist the Executive Head Chef in the running of the mulit-outlet kitchens for their luxury hotel & venue based in Hertfordshire. The role is to oversee both the restaurant & banqueting kitchens and run service. The role has the opportunity to progress to Head Chef level in future so is an exellent opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to progress.
