Job summary

Genting Casinos UK Limited is seeking a Head Chef to take responsibility for the entire kitchen operation, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and service. You will lead the kitchen team, plan menus, manage stock and procurement, and uphold hygiene and safety requirements across the operation.

You will drive cost-effective kitchen operations, review menus, support marketing initiatives and deliver a first-class customer experience across our venues.

Job description

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the effective management of the entire kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service. You will oversee everything from menu planning, food preparation and stock control through to the leadership, development and day-to-day management of the kitchen team.

You will ensure food is prepared, cooked and presented to Company standards, while maintaining strong controls around portioning, wastage, stock rotation and procurement. You will also ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with all relevant Health, Safety and Hygiene requirements, including COSHH and food handling procedures.

A key part of the role will be leading the kitchen team, setting high standards, allocating work effectively, preparing rotas and supporting the development and performance management of team members. You will promote effective communication and teamwork across the kitchen and wider operation, while ensuring the team remains focused on delivering a high-quality customer experience.

You will also periodically review menus to ensure they reflect customer needs and market trends, while supporting the Club's wider marketing strategy and maintaining an efficient and cost-effective kitchen operation.
