Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, highly organised, and capable of running a busy kitchen to the highest standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Direct all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.

  • Maintain kitchen equipment as required.

  • Supervise chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring a cohesive team environment.

  • Resolve any issues as they arise to maintain smooth foodservice operations.

  • Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure efficiency at all times.

  • Plan menus based on ingredient availability and costings.

  • Ensure all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.

  • Inspect raw and cooked food to guarantee the highest quality.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and operations team to achieve the establishment’s goals.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Experience managing teams within a busy kitchen environment.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
