Job summary

The Bell in Alderminster is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join Brunning and Price Pubs Ltd’s culinary team. You will lead menu development, kitchen management, and uphold top quality and presentation in a high-volume, premium fresh-food environment.

This role offers up to £50,000 per year plus profit share, Nest pension, free meals on shift, staff discounts, and wellbeing and progression benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy premium fresh-food environment.
• Ability to drive food culture, manage stock, GP and labour controls, and work with the pub manager on seasonal menus.

Responsibilities

• Lead menu development and standard-setting for high-volume operations.
• Oversee kitchen management, quality, and presentation to maintain premium standards.
• Coach and develop kitchen team to deliver consistent service.

About You...

Our kitchens are dynamic, fast paced, and high volume so you will have experience of being a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment. You will be responsible for the food culture within your pub, working closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward, helping to formulate seasonal menus with our Executive Chefs. We are looking for a confident leader who will nurture their team and create an inclusive and supportive environment. You’ll also need excellent business acumen to manage a well-run kitchen, keeping on top of your stock, GPs and labour controls.
