Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of successfully running the restaurant kitchen
- Organise and supervise all kitchen staff, delegate tasks
- Maintain responsibility for the restaurant's food hygiene rating (EHO inspection)
- Ensure all food complies with San Carlo food specifications
- Adhere to allergen policies, train the team accordingly
- Perform any kitchen role as needed
- Achieve KPI targets
- Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team, fostering succession planning
- Promote team development, led by Sous Chefs
- Lead talent planning within the kitchen team
- Ensure health and safety compliance and company policies
- Maintain good relationships with front and back of house teams
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, and absences
- Represent the company at industry events and engage with stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Head Chef in a similar-sized restaurant
- High attention to detail
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in inventory, supply chain management, and scheduling
- Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
