Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of successfully running the restaurant kitchen
  • Organise and supervise all kitchen staff, delegate tasks
  • Maintain responsibility for the restaurant's food hygiene rating (EHO inspection)
  • Ensure all food complies with San Carlo food specifications
  • Adhere to allergen policies, train the team accordingly
  • Perform any kitchen role as needed
  • Achieve KPI targets
  • Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team, fostering succession planning
  • Promote team development, led by Sous Chefs
  • Lead talent planning within the kitchen team
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and company policies
  • Maintain good relationships with front and back of house teams
  • Manage staff rotas, holidays, and absences
  • Represent the company at industry events and engage with stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef in a similar-sized restaurant
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in inventory, supply chain management, and scheduling
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
