The Ministry of Justice seeks a Managing Chaplain for Grendon and Spring Hill to lead a multi-faith chaplaincy team, ensuring chaplains are accessible to prisoners and that policy on diversity, safety and reducing re-offending is implemented.

You will oversee pastoral care, plan worship/meditation, arrange visits and support faith groups while delivering relevant programmes and staff training within the establishment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage a multi-faith chaplaincy team, ensuring accessibility for prisoners and compliance with HMPPS policy on diversity, safety and reducing re-offending.
• Oversee prisoners' complaints and investigations related to the Chaplaincy team and report findings.
• Ensure training, development and mentoring for chaplains and volunteers, including after incidents and ongoing support.
• Provide pastoral care and plan worship/meditation for faith communities, including hospital visits, weddings and memorial services where appropriate.
• Deliver awareness and faith-related programmes and support staff in observing holy days and festivals.
