Maison Estelle, a private members’ club in Mayfair, is seeking a Bartender/Bar Supervisor to lead beverage service to our distinguished members. You will oversee daily bar operations, train the team, and ensure our hosted experience aligns with the club’s discreet, high-end standards.

You’ll join a luxury, private setting that values personalised service. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, strong communication, and a true passion for hospitality.

Qualificações

• Experience in beverage departments within luxury/hospitality environments.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and oversee service of beverages to members in line with club standards.
• Manage day-to-day bar operations and lead the bar team to deliver a hosted experience.
• Train and support junior bartenders, solve issues, and remove obstacles.
• Organise the bar area to streamline drink preparation and stock control.
• Ensure till systems and payments align with SOPs and standards.
• Tailor service to members' needs and maintain knowledge of the full bar menu.

Who are we?

Maison Estelle is a private members’ club set in a Grade I-listed Georgian townhouse on Grafton Street, Mayfair. A ‘hosted home’, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove. A new school club (no rules), with old school values of personalised service and discretion.

The on target earning potential for this role is £53,670 per annum - comprising a base salary of £34,950, plus a qualified estimate of £18,720 in gratuities and service charge

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and overseeing the service of alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for our members ensuring they are always in line with our members club standards.
• Managing the day-to-day operations and activities within the Bars ensuring the team deliver an exceptional hosted experience for our members.
• Encouraging and supporting your team to focus on revenue growth and opportunities that enhance our members experiences.
• Providing direction to the bar team during service.
• Making sure the bar is set up and closed accurately and on time; cleaned, restocked, garnishes and all mise en place and relevant batching prepared and ready on time.
• Informing colleagues and team members about our beverage offering and prices.
• Ensuring all items are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware and in the correct manner.
• Assisting all members of the Bar team to perform their roles, by providing training, solving problems and removing obstacles.
• Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
• Ensuring use of till systems and payment processes are in line with SOP’s and standards.
• Being aware of our members who are drinking and / dining with us and ensure the bar team personally tailor their service appropriately.
• Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the entire bar menu, including the beer, wine and cocktail lists.
• Talking with our members to assess their needs and preferences and make relevant recommendations for them.
• Proactively managing any member complaints in the moment escalating to a member of the management team where necessary ensuring they leave happy with a positive lasting impression.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience on the beverage departments in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation.
• Stays up to date with current beverage trends and best practices.
• Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and being front of house building relationships with our members.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.

About gratuities & service charge

• Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role.
