About Sutton Hotel Collection

Located in a historic Georgian building in Bath, The Francis Hotel was once home to architect John Wood the Elder. The hotel features modern amenities and a design inspired by the Georgian era, developed in collaboration with award-winning interior designers 3DReid.

About the role

The hotel is undergoing a multi-million-pound transformation, launching an all-day brasserie restaurant, Emberwood. You will work with the Bar Manager to lead the bar team through the opening, providing guidance and coaching during the pre-opening phase. Post-opening, you will support the team, work across departments, and aim to deliver an exceptional cocktail experience for guests and residents.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality F&B
• Excellent customer service, engagement, and bar knowledge
• Experience in training or coaching bartenders and bar backs
• Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
• Accuracy in drinks preparation and bar conduct
• High personal presentation standards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the bar team for efficient service
• Oversee the cocktail bar, lounge, and snug areas, maintaining standards
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff
• Resolve issues and escalate complaints as needed
• Assist in setting up and delivering drinks menus
• Mentor and train staff to uphold high standards
