Job description

Korto is seeking an exceptional head barista/ Supervisor to join our friendly and passionate team at our café/roastery in Muswell Hill. Located behind Alexandra Palace, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service while serving high-quality coffee and food.

Role Overview

The head barista will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading the team to work hard and enjoy their work. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in speciality coffee, a strong work ethic, be proactive, organized, professional, and possess a good sense of humor.

Responsibilities

1. Enhance and uphold the "Korto Coffee Standards" in quality, preparation, and presentation.
2. Create a seasonal, rotating coffee menu.
3. Build positive relationships with regular customers.
4. Manage customer experience to ensure consistent service.
5. Train and onboard new staff.
6. Handle opening and closing procedures.
7. Liaise with suppliers, manage orders and stock.
8. Communicate customer and staff feedback to the Directors.
9. Foster a positive working environment.
10. Dial in coffees to achieve optimal extraction and taste.
11. Steam milk to produce high-quality microfoam for drinks.
12. Create exceptional latte art.

Working Hours

Korto operates 7 days a week from 9am to 3pm.
