GAIL’s Bread in Milton Keynes is seeking Head Bakers who inspire others, take charge and lead by example. You will bake for our displays, know our recipes inside out and drive high standards across the team.

This role starts early, with bakery shifts around 5:30am–6:30am, and offers comprehensive benefits including food on shift, holidays, pension, health and wellbeing support, and development programmes to help you rise with GAIL’s.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a bakery team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for training others and achieving high standards.

Responsibilities

• Proving and baking items for displays and ensuring quality.
• Know products and recipes inside out and maintain standards.
• Lead and train the team to deliver high-quality bread, pastries and cakes.
• Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness, with consistent execution.
• Adapt to early bakery shifts across different locations.
