Job summary

Cygnet Bury Hudson is seeking an HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team on a secure ward for adult males detained under the Mental Health Act. You will deliver highly specialist psychological assessments and individual/group therapies, contribute to risk formulation, and support staff development.

• HCPC registered or nearing registration with clinical/forensic experience.
• Experience in clinical/forensic mental health settings with complex needs.
• Experience delivering psychological therapies such as Schema, CAT and/or DBT.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and therapies for adult males on a secure ward.
• Contribute to risk formulation and management using structured tools.
• Support MDT meetings and supervise Assistant Psychologists.
• Offer training and supervision to staff and junior colleagues.
