Job summary

Flogas is recruiting a Hazardous Area Electrician to build bespoke LPG refuelling stations at the Staveley manufacturing facility and to install, inspect, and upgrade electrical systems across the UK. You will also support other installations and inspections on customer and internal projects.

The role requires accredited electrical qualifications, safety certifications, and strong fault-finding skills. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including a company van and training support.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out bespoke LPG refuelling builds at our manufacturing facility in Staveley, Derbyshire.
  • Install LPG/LNG plants across the UK.
  • Perform electrical inspections and rectification work on customer installations across the UK.
  • Undertake electrical inspections, rectification work and plant upgrades to Flogas installations nationwide.
  • Off-site electrical assembly of LPG vapourisers, pump skid units and package boiler houses.

Howyou’llpower our business as a Hazardous Area Electrician.

As a Hazardous Area Electrician with Flogas, you will be responsible for building bespoke LPG refuelling stations such as FLT at our manufacturing facility in Staveley, as well as installing and maintaining the network throughout the UK. Additionally, you will support other installations and inspections on customer and internal projects.

  • Carrying out bespoke LPG refuelling builds at our manufacturing facility in Staveley, Derbyshire
  • Carrying out the Installation of new customer LPG/LNG plants throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out Electrical inspections and rectification work to customer installations throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out Electrical inspections, rectification work and full plant upgrades to Flogas installations throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out off site Electrical assembly of LPG vaporisers, Pump skid units and package boiler houses.
What we’ll need from you as a Hazardous Area Electrician
  • Accredited apprenticeship or comparable qualification (JIB Graded Gold card or above)
  • Compex modules EX01-4 or IECEx COPC Modules EX001-8
  • C&G 2391 or, 2391-52 or, 2394 & 2395 Inspection and Testing
  • C&G 2382-22 18TH Edition
  • CCSNG/JIB/SSSTS or equivalent Safety passport.
  • Level 3 requirements for electrical installations-BS7671:2018. 18th edition
  • High level of IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel & Office.
  • Committed, persuasive and personable with fluent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the preparation and installation of IECEx/Atex rated equipment, including motors, control stations, junction boxes and lighting.
  • Proficient in the installation of Metal Trunking, conduit, and tray, SWA cables and glands. LV distribution equipment and ancillaries
  • Good understanding of schematic, Loop, P&ID, and zone drawings.
  • Good understanding of control systems and fault finding.
