Join Our Leadership Team – Electronics Engineering Manager (Defence Manufacturing | Bespoke Electronics | High Power Custom Systems)

Full-Time Contract or Permanent | Senior Leadership

We are seeking a strategic leader passionate about operational excellence in high-stakes environments. The Electronics Engineering Manager will share technical responsibilities with the Managing Director, serve as the main contact for a high-value client, and lead our advanced facility in the defence and electronics manufacturing sector. This role offers potential progression to Managing Director or Technical Director in the future.

The client is open to offering a high salary or contract day rate to the best candidate.

About the Role

The Electronics Engineering Manager will oversee facility operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and compliance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will implement strategic initiatives, improve operational processes, and uphold industry standards, ensuring delivery of mission-critical products and supporting sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of facility operations — production, maintenance, quality assurance
  • Drive strategic planning aligned with company goals
  • Manage defence contracts ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineering from design to production
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and regulators
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and operational standards are met
  • Set and monitor KPIs for performance, cost, and quality
