Job summary

JAM in Rochester is seeking a Hardware Engineer - Digital to join a leading UK defence organisation. This on-site, full-time role delivers complex digital/analogue hardware design from concept to certification, emphasising robust designs and lifecycle discipline.

You will coach junior engineers, produce design artefacts, and collaborate with other disciplines to optimise system outcomes while balancing cost and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Digital and/or analogue electronics technologies experience.
• Experience through the engineering development lifecycle from concept to product certification.
• Robust understanding of product design and work package control.
• Ability to balance cost and schedule constraints to meet programme needs.
• Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise, Simetrix and LT Spice tools.
• Experience with analogue simulations and system development tools such as EA, MATLAB and Simulink.
