Job summary

BD is seeking a Hardware Engineer to provide technical expertise for infusion product projects, from initiation to verification. You will work on problem definition, solution development, and engineering changes across manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

The role emphasizes sustaining engineering, line setup, transfers and regulatory compliance, with strong GD&T and CAD capabilities to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to HNC, HND, or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experienced in supporting electro-mechanical products post-release, 3+ years preferred.
  • Skilled in manufacturing processes such as plastic injection moulding, manual assembly, and test systems.
  • Knowledgeable in validation and verification for engineering changes.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modelling systems and familiar with GD&T principles.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with structured approach and accountability.

  • Establish and maintain manufacturing lines, including transfers and new line setups.
  • Manage engineering change documentation in line with quality management requirements.
  • Deliver projects and activities within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Job description

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and participating in operation engineering projects related to the outsourcing and sustaining of a current range of Infusion products. The role focuses on meeting customer and business expectations for safety, quality, delivery and cost through the execution of projects and activities covering problem definition, solution and engineering change (product designs and/or manufacturing processes). The Hardware Engineer will help to develop and employ best practice in delivering projects from initiation through implementation to verification of effectiveness, including ongoing improvement (CI) activities. Main responsibilities will include:

Salary Range Information £43,300.00 - £66,025.00 GBP Annual
