Job Description:

An electronics manufacturer based in Rotherham is looking to recruit a Hardware Engineer to join the R&D Department. This is a key product/system design role focused on defining, designing, creating, and maintaining electronic systems and products, including wired/wireless detectors, panels, and peripherals. The role involves working on both legacy and next-generation designs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing electronic hardware for next-generation wired/wireless products
• Collaborating with a team on complex electronics/software projects, leading detailed product design
• Conducting interference investigations to ensure products meet standards and approval requirements
• Ensuring products do not infringe on intellectual property rights
• Supporting the design and documentation of production test solutions for manufacturing
• Maintaining department documentation, conducting design reviews, and verification testing

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hardware development experience, particularly in designing and developing products with printed circuit boards. This role requires presence in the Rotherham office 5 days a week.
