Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in the Colchester area is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to own electronic hardware development projects from concept through to production. You’ll join a supportive team where your technical expertise will drive real improvements.

You’ll design analogue and digital circuits, create schematics and PCB layouts, and lead hardware projects from concept to production, selecting components and testing prototypes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in electronic hardware design is desirable.
• Experience with analogue and digital circuit design and PCB/layout tools.
• Hands-on testing with electronic test equipment.
• Ability to solve problems and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing analogue and digital electronic circuits.
• Creating schematics and PCB layouts.
• Leading hardware development projects from concept to production.
• Selecting components, testing prototypes and debugging circuits.
• Collaborating with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams.
• Supporting existing products and driving continuous improvements.
• Producing technical documentation and participating in design reviews.
