Job summary

Veolia Newport is seeking a hands-on Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and specialist subcontractors at Airbus Newport site. You will ensure compliance, oversee day-to-day operations and drive delivery of planned maintenance.

The role requires strong supervision, contract management and an electrical background with 18th Edition, plus a DBS check. You will be on 1 in 4 on-call rota and collaborate with admin and senior management.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or team management experience.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and contract management.
• Strong understanding of engineering operations and maintenance.
• Ability to manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors.
• Proficient in spreadsheet monitoring and data management.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills.
• Electrical background with 18th Edition & Test and Inspect cert with a minimum of 2yrs experience.
• DBS check ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of engineers and specialist subcontractors
• Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met
• Monitor and enforce contract obligations
• Ensure engineer reports are completed promptly upon fault identification
• Monitor and maintain spreadsheets used by the engineering team
• Liaise with the Admin team on a daily basis
• Stand in for the Hard Services Manager during periods of absence
• Oversee day-to-day engineering operations and workflow
• Take part in the on call rota 1 week in 4
