Rydon Group Holdings Ltd in Bristol is looking for an experienced Hard FM Service Manager to lead a small team of in-house maintenance engineers on an NHS hospital contract, ensuring reactive calls and PPMs are responded to promptly to hit SLA and KPI targets.

You will oversee day-to-day delivery of hard facilities management, guarantee statutory compliance, manage any specialist subcontracted works, and report to the contract manager while driving improvements to maximise productivity, quality

Qualifications

• Experience managing facilities maintenance in a live healthcare environment.
• Ability to lead a small in-house team and coordinate subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of hard FM services and ensure SLA/KPI targets are met.
• Oversee a small team of engineers and incident response for reactive calls and PPMs.
• Coordinate specialist subcontracted works and monitor quality against HSQ&E standards.
• Report to the contract manager and support improvements to the long-term contract strategy.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Hard FM Service Manager to join our Hard Facilities Management team in Bristol. This team delivers a first-class reactive and planned maintenance and repairs service on behalf of an NHS Trust.

Rydon Maintenance is a successful planned/preventative maintenance contractor operating throughout England. We are a dynamic, multi talented organisation, working across a wide range of market sectors, predominantly within the healthcare, education and housing sectors.

Job Purpose

As Service Manager you will manage a small team of in house maintenance engineers on a contract we have with a prestigious NHS hospital in Bristol. You will ensure that reactive calls and PPMs are responded to in order for the smooth and efficient running of the day to day operations to meet SLA and KPI targets

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the delivery of hard FM services, ensuring statutory compliance with current legislation and local codes of practice to protect the health and safety of others in a live hospital environment. Where it is not possible for works to be completed in house you will also manage the specialist planned and reactive sub-contracted services ensuring that all works are completed to the required quality and that HSQ&E obligations are met.

Reporting to the contract manager you will help to deliver ongoing improvements and recommendations to the long term contract strategy to maximise productivity and quality whilst ensuring cost efficiencies are achieved and potential risks are identified and mitigated.

Experience Required

The preferred candidate will have previous experience working for a facilities management company. You could be an experienced Supervisor looking to progress or have previous service management experience. This experience will ideally have been gained supporting NHS clients however, candidates with good commercial experience that can be translated to the NHS will also be considered.

The successful candidate will have strong influencing, communication and relationship building skills and should be familiar and competent in managing and maintaining statutory compliance. You will have good technical knowledge and experience of building services maintenance and Health & Safety procedures in daily site operation.

Above all, you will have a keen customer service approach, strong interpersonal skills and good IT skills (Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel).
