Job summary

Mountjoy Ltd in Horsham is seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our Maintenance Team. You will handle upkeep and repair tasks across council properties, identify repairs, and respond to maintenance requests while ensuring safe, clean environments.

The role requires a full clean driving licence and a DBS clearance, with 2–5 years' experience in property maintenance. You will use a PDA/tablet to log work, assist trades, and complete accurate notes and logbooks for compliance.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence is required.
• DBS clearance is required before commencing.
• 2–5 years in property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults across core trades.
• Carry out repairs and document work clearly.
• Support trades to deliver safe maintenance and repairs.
• Undertake workmanship to minimise non-productive time.
• Carry out water hygiene tasks and Legionella responsibilities.
• Be second man on two-person jobs with an engineer.
• Participate in weekly fire panel testing and monthly water checks.
• Maintain documentation and logbooks for compliance.
