Job summary

Housing Quality Network is seeking a practical Handyperson to support its sheltered and independent living schemes across Horndean, Petersfield, Alton and Southampton. You will carry out general repairs, fittings, and minor installations, using hand tools and a tablet to log jobs.

A full driving licence is essential, and you will join a friendly, proactive team that values safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with general repairs and maintenance in housing or domestic settings.
• Comfortable with manual work and using hand tools and basic equipment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Able to use digital systems (tablet/PDA) to log jobs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and small adaptations across schemes.
• Hang mirrors or shelves, fit toilet seats, install handrails.
• Support Aids & Adaptations work with minor installations.
• Keep residents updated and provide good customer service.
• Use tablet/PDA to log jobs and update records.
