About Us
Healthworks is a national award-winning charity working with disadvantaged local communities to tackle health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing through social prescribing. Based in Newcastle and operating across the region for over 29 years, our patron is Professor Michael Marmot. Our work has been recognized by a King’s Fund/GSK award for improving physical and mental health across the North East of England.
We collaborate with NHS, Local Authority, and community sectors to develop cost-effective, sustainable health solutions for various conditions affecting quality of life.
