Job Title: Fabric Technician / Handyperson

Location: Gulfstream, Farnborough

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm & 10am-7pm

Salary: £35 - £39k per annum

Role Overview and Purpose

This is a semi-skilled role providing fabric and low-level building services support to the site engineering team. Responsibilities include reactive help desk duties, monitoring and completing incoming work, escorting subcontractors, minor PPM works, routine maintenance, painting, decorating, and small ground maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine fabric maintenance to meet and exceed expectations and SLAs.
• Complete reactive tasks logged to meet expectations and SLAs, as directed by management.
• Assist with office moves and client-required changes.
• Perform painting, decorating, and DIY tasks to maintain an attractive environment.
• Assist with grounds maintenance activities.
• Manage stock loading, unloading, storage, and deliveries safely.
• Replace lamps and clean lighting diffusers in line with safety rules.
• Complete paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly.
• Support water hygiene activities and keep the Water Management System logbook updated.
• Maintain a safe, healthy working environment, wearing PPE and complying with policies.
• Keep storage areas tidy and maintained.
• Ensure all works comply with H&S requirements, with minimal disruption to the client.
• Maintain cleanliness of working areas at all times.
• Participate in out-of-hours activities as needed.
• Conduct routine plant checks and other tasks as directed.
• Maintain site CAFM system (MAXIMO).
• Plan annual holidays in advance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Formal fabric maintenance and building maintenance training or demonstrable experience.
• Health and safety training.
• Experience in meeting health and safety obligations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented attitude.
• Calm under pressure, able to make sound decisions.
• Physically capable of handling tools and components up to 20kg.
• IT literate.
• Respectful and polite in all interactions.

Security and Site Specific Requirements

• Demonstrate last 5 years' work history.
• DBS check, Airside pass, and Gulfstream pass applications.
• No photography allowed on site.
