Job Role: Handyperson

Location: HMP Bullingdon

Contract: Full time - Per
Salary: £25,739.13

Join a dedicated team at a Ministry of Justice business supporting the safe operation of HMP Bullingdon. We are looking for a Handyperson to contribute to a secure and supportive environment within a category B male adult prison.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team (electric, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and administration support as needed).
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues to maintain a safe, secure, and rehabilitative environment.
• Assist in ensuring that prison facilities operate smoothly and safely, contributing to the wider welfare of prisoners, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience of prison environment
• Experience of use of hand and power tools
• Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
