Job summary

A hands-on Yard Manager role in Worcestershire to oversee daily yard operations, goods in and out, and stock movements while ensuring safety and efficiency. You will support the Branch Manager and help maintain high customer service standards in a busy depot.

The ideal candidate has yard/warehouse experience, strong health and safety awareness, and the leadership ability to guide a small yard team. Salary ranges from £31,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Right to work in the UK or valid visa for employment.
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or similar operational environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to lead and support a team while working independently.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming deliveries and paperwork; monitor stock movements.
• Supervise safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Ensure orders are picked correctly and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised yard, warehouse and parking areas.
• Support annual stocktakes and help train new yard staff.
• Work with the Branch Manager to meet depot standards and goals.
