Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a hands-on Yard Manager in Worcestershire to oversee daily yard operations, manage stock movements, and ensure a safe, orderly depot. You will work with the Branch Manager, support the yard team and uphold exceptional customer service standards.

The role requires previous yard/warehouse experience, strong health and safety awareness, and the ability to lead a small team while staying practical and hands-on.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification required.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Experience in yard/warehouse environment.
• Strong health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming deliveries, checking quantities, condition and paperwork.
• Supervise the safe unloading and loading of vehicles.
• Ensure orders are picked correctly and stock discrepancies are investigated.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised yard, warehouse and parking areas.
• Ensure stock, pallets and bundles are stored safely.
• Maintain health and safety procedures, including PPE, manual handling and safe working practices.
• Report accidents, near misses and safety concerns.
• Support annual stocktakes, including preparation, counting and checking stock.
• Help train new yard staff and cover duties when required.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to maintain depot standards and achieve operational goals.

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work in a busy environment

The Package

• Salary £31,000–£40,000 DOE

Candidate Requirements All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.

Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
