Job summary

Keighley College is hiring a Teacher of Vocational Studies to deliver practical teaching across Level 1 pathways, with a focus on Uniformed Public Services. The role supports learners toward employment, progression or apprenticeships in a safe workshop or classroom setting.

You may not need a teaching qualification, but a willingness to gain one is supported by the college. You will adapt to learners’ needs and promote employability skills and workplace behaviours.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering vocational studies with a practical focus.
• Ability to support learners of varying abilities and learning needs.
• Willingness to pursue teaching qualification with employer support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation, marking, assessment and moderation.
• Deliver vocational units effectively for individual learners.
• Develop professional practice with new technologies to enhance learning.
• Maintain and review EHCPs where applicable.
