Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Test & Validation Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing organisation’s production team. The role focuses on testing, inspecting and verifying assembled units against engineering specs and customer requirements.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, performing FAT, system-level testing, inspections and diagnostics while keeping thorough test records and supporting issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production or testing environments.
• Hands-on testing of mechanical, electrical or integrated systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Experience with FAT, test equipment and analysing results.
• Good understanding of quality control, NCRs and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support test planning and readiness in line with production schedules and milestones.
• Review and contribute to test plans, procedures and work instructions.
• Carry out in-process, system-level and final acceptance testing (FAT) on assembled units.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical and integrated system testing.
• Perform product inspections, fault finding and diagnostics, reporting issues.
• Identify, raise and support NCR resolutions.
• Ensure products meet defined quality gates before progression or delivery.
• Maintain accurate test records, reports and traceability documentation.
• Communicate test progress and results to stakeholders.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and instrumentation.
• Support shift-based working including day/night rotation.
