Job summary

Altera Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a hands-on Test Technician in Hampshire to support the Engineering Team with mechanical assembly, testing and data collection. You will work alongside engineers and workshop colleagues, helping ensure testing activities are completed safely and accurately.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical engineering or manufacturing background to develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering/manufacturing background required.
• Mechanical assembly and tools handling with a methodical approach.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good communication and team work in a small team.
• Willingness to learn and take on practical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and test mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support engineering tests, collect data and assist with processing results and reports.
• Follow testing procedures, maintain equipment and ensure safe, accurate work.
• Record test results using computer systems and identify quality improvements.
• Support general workshop activities, including preparing products for dispatch.
