Job summary

Altera Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a hands-on Test Technician to join a small engineering team in Hampshire. You will support mechanical testing, data collection and reporting, working closely with engineers and workshop colleagues to ensure safe, accurate testing and quality outcomes.

Full training will be provided. The role suits someone with practical engineering or manufacturing background looking to develop technical skills in a growing engineering business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Good mechanical assembly skills and tool use.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and undertake practical work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and test mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support engineering tests, collect data and assist with processing results and reports.
• Follow testing procedures, maintain equipment and ensure work is completed safely and accurately.
• Record test results using computer systems and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support general workshop activities, including preparing products for dispatch and assisting colleagues as required.
