Job summary

Waterside Primary School, part of Shaw Education Trust, is seeking a dedicated Site and Premises Officer to help keep our school safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

You will open and close the premises, perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, monitor heating and lighting, manage deliveries and support contractors, and assist with events and room setups, ensuring the site remains fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Opening and closing the school premises and ensuring the site is secure.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and general DIY tasks.
• Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Undertaking regular health and safety checks and reporting any concerns.
• Monitoring heating, lighting and other site facilities.
• Managing deliveries and supporting contractors on site.
• Assisting with the setup and clearing of rooms for school activities and events.
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Supporting the school with any other site-related duties as required.
