Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Quality Inspector for a hands-on role in West Yorkshire. You will inspect components and finished products, ensuring they meet customer requirements and drawings, while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.

The role involves reading technical drawings and BOMs, maintaining inspection records, and supporting audits. A strong attention to detail and good IT skills are essential for success in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous quality, inspection, engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and BOMs.
• Understanding or experience of ISO 9001/QMS
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual inspections of components and finished products.
• Inspect subcontracted and coated products for quality and damage.
• Check products against technical drawings, specifications, BOMs and works orders.
• Identify, record and report quality issues and non-conformances.
• Liaise with internal teams and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection and rework records.
• Support third-party inspections and internal audits.
• Ensure products are packaged correctly to prevent damage.
• Provide support within the stamping area when required, including operating and setting machinery.
• Undertake forklift duties when required and appropriately trained.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
