Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our technical team. You’ll perform sampling, testing and specimen preparation across concrete, asphalt and quarry products to ensure consistent quality and support improvement programs.

Working with operations and commercial teams, you’ll help maintain safety and product performance on important infrastructure projects while contributing to cost-efficient manufacturing across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out sampling and testing to standards.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to technical documentation and data.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sampling, testing and specimen preparation of concrete, asphalt and aggregates.
• Test according to British/European standards and procedures.
• Investigate product quality concerns with operations and technical teams.
• Identify improvements and support testing programmes.
• Review water demand, site practices and delivery processes.
• Raise NCRs and Near Hit reports as appropriate.
• Provide technical support to operations, sales and customers.
