Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the QMS in a busy steel fabrication environment in Nottingham. You will inspect, review drawings, manage non-conformances and drive corrective actions to ensure customer and regulatory compliance.

The role involves close collaboration with Production, Welding and Engineering teams, supporting audits and documentation and promoting continuous improvement across major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes.
• Experience with non-conformances and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve the Quality Management System.
• Perform inspections and quality checks through fabrication.
• Review drawings and specs for compliance.
• Monitor welding, fabrication and assembly quality.
• Raise non-conformances and drive root-cause analysis.
• Maintain inspection plans and quality records.
• Support audits and corrective-action closure.
• Collaborate with production to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor supplier quality and investigate non-conformances.
• Ensure accurate manufacturing and inspection records.
