Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd in Staffordshire is seeking a Production Supervisor with a hands-on background in fabrication, sheet metal, or mechanical manufacturing. This newly created role offers a 4-day working week (Mon-Thu) with Fridays off and a clear path toward Production Management.

You will own shop-floor engineering issues, design and modify jigs and tooling, produce CAD drawings, and work with operators to drive improvements in manufacturability, efficiency and quality across CNC laser

Qualifications

Hands-on engineering background in fabrication, sheet metal or similar mechanical manufacturing.
Ability to produce and interpret CAD drawings and manufacturing plans.
Experience with laser cutting, punching, weld fabrication or machining is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Engineer practical shop-floor solutions from concept to implementation.
Design, develop and modify jigs, fixtures, tooling and manufacturing aids.
Produce and modify CAD models and engineering/manufacturing drawings.
Work with operators to understand manufacturing problems and deliver practical solutions.
Improve manufacturability, repeatability, quality and efficiency of components and processes.
Support trials and implementation of new tooling and production methods.
Investigate recurring issues and implement permanent engineering solutions.
Assist with machinery maintenance and external engineering support.
