Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting a Production Supervisor for a Lincolnshire manufacturing site. You will lead a small team, keep production lines running, and drive targets while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

The role involves supervising around six operatives, working a 3-shift rotation (6:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00) on a permanent, full-time basis. Prior plastics/food/pharma experience is useful.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production supervisory, team leader or senior operator role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production machinery.
• Ability to work towards production targets and KPIs.
• Hands-on approach with the capability to support shop-floor operations.
• Good problem-solving skills and quick reaction to challenges.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work a rotating three-shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and support a team of approximately 6 production operatives.
• Ensure daily and weekly production targets are consistently achieved.
• Take a hands-on approach to production, supporting operators and assisting with machinery when required.
• Monitor machine performance, ensuring equipment is running efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Identify production issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Coordinate workloads and staffing across production lines.
• Ensure products are manufactured to required quality standards.
• Work with maintenance teams to report faults and minimise disruption.
• Monitor output, efficiency, waste and team performance.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and procedures are followed.
• Provide effective shift handovers and communicate performance and priorities.
• Support training and development of operatives.
• Promote continuous improvement and productivity enhancements.
