Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Production Supervisor in the Hixon area of Staffordshire. This hands-on role offers a 4-day working week with Fridays off, and a clear path towards Production Management.

You will own practical engineering challenges on the shop floor, designing and modifying jigs, fixtures and tooling, and working directly with production to implement solutions. The successful candidate will have a background in fabrication, sheet metal or similar mechanical

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering background in fabrication, sheet metal or similar mechanical manufacturing.
• Experience designing or modifying jigs, fixtures, tooling or manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to produce and interpret engineering/manufacturing drawings using CAD.

Responsibilities

• Engineer practical solutions to shop floor problems from concept through implementation.
• Design, develop and modify jigs, fixtures, tooling and manufacturing aids.
• Produce and modify CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Work with operators to understand manufacturing problems and develop practical solutions.
• Improve manufacturability, repeatability, quality and efficiency of components and processes.
• Support trials and implementation of new tooling and production methods.
• Investigate recurring manufacturing issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Assist with machinery maintenance and external engineering support when required.
