Job summary

Mpeople Recruitment is seeking an experienced Print, Production or Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day workflow on the print and cutting lines. You will lead a team on the production floor, coordinating workloads and ensuring safety and quality are maintained.

You will drive continuous improvement through hands-on management and strong Excel-based reporting, working in a fast-paced, reactive production environment with a focus on meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous printing experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing or coordinating a team of up to 12 people.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with complex spreadsheets and production data.
• Good planning and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of up to 12 employees across the print and cutting areas.
• Plan and coordinate daily workloads to ensure production priorities are achieved.
• Maintain and coordinate the 24-hour production plan.
• Provide the Night Manager with clear updates on production requirements, priorities and any issues.
• Manage overtime requirements across the print and cutting areas.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure workloads are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
• Use complex Excel worksheets to support production planning, workload management and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to reduce machine setup times and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify training requirements and coordinate staff training and development.
• Monitor operational issues and take prompt, practical action to resolve them.
• Identify the root causes of rework and implement improvements to reduce errors and waste.
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout the production process.
• Ensure the work area remains safe, clean and well organised.
• Ensure company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements are consistently followed.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide clear handovers between shifts.
