Job summary

City of Liverpool College is seeking a part-time Plumbing Lecturer to teach Level 1–3 plumbing at the Vauxhall Road campus. The role involves planning, delivering hands-on lessons in purpose-built workshops, assessing work, and tracking student progress.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing is required
• Assessor qualification or willingness to attain one
• Teaching qualification or commitment to complete one
• Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality plumbing lessons
• Use varied teaching techniques to engage students and promote independence
• Create a safe, purposeful learning environment and manage behaviour
• Set and mark work in line with college policies and record progress
• Track students' progress and attendance using college systems
• Contribute to internal and external assessment procedures
• Liaise with the Head of School on programme design and administration
• Support students' English and Maths development within the subject
• Communicate with parents, carers and students during events
• Provide enrichment opportunities to enhance the student experience
• Keep up to date with national subject developments and CPD
