Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations / Production Manager for a busy Heathrow site. You will own day-to-day operations, lead production, admin, finance and shop-floor teams to deliver quality, on-time performance and efficiency.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and KPIs, oversee stock and purchasing, and work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure excellent service levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production/operations management.
• Experience managing manufacturing from order to delivery.
• Experience leading shop-floor and office teams.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and stock control.
• Experience in bespoke manufacturing environments.
• Commercial awareness including budgets and P&L management.
• Hands-on management style with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-functional team and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Manage production planning and scheduling to meet customer demands and delivery targets.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety, and compliance.
• Oversee stock control, purchasing and inventory management.
• Monitor site performance via KPIs and drive improvements.
• Manage budgets, costs and profitability, with clear reporting.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Support commercial decision-making through product and account profitability analysis.
