Job summary

Iron & Pine in Dalbeattie, Scotland, is seeking a reliable Multi-Trade Production Assistant to support workshop and production teams. You will assist skilled tradespeople and help ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include preparing materials, moving and storing items, and maintaining a clean, organized workshop, while following health and safety procedures. Prior experience is beneficial, with a forklift licence a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist joiners, electricians, and plumbers with day-to-day production and installation tasks.
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for production activities.
• Move, handle, and store materials safely within the workshop and site areas.
• Support the assembly, fabrication, and preparation of products as directed.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, including sweeping, tidying, waste disposal, and organizing work areas.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are returned to designated storage locations after use.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct basic inspections of tools and equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Assist with stock control, deliveries, and inventory management when required.
• Support loading and unloading of vehicles and deliveries.
• Carry out general workshop and production duties as assigned by supervisors.
