Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Teacher to join our engineering team at Bracknell and Wokingham college. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across our Mechanical Engineering programmes and bring hands-on industry knowledge into the classroom.

You will enable Level 2 and Level 3 students to develop technical knowledge, practical competence and professional behaviours to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further education.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Practical industry experience across General Machining, Welding, Sheet Metal Work and General Mechanical Maintenance.
• Educated to GCSE level 4/C including Maths & English.
• Experience of working in a practical/workshop environment.
• Teaching and Assessing experience would be advantageous.
• IQA and BTEC/T Levels teaching would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Mechanical Engineering programmes at Bracknell and Wokingham college.
• Bring industry knowledge and hands-on experience into the classroom to engage students.
• Deliver engaging, purposeful lessons to Level 2 and Level 3 students, developing technical knowledge and professional behaviours.
