Job summary

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to guide a multi-skilled engineering team in a heavy manufacturing environment. You will prioritise pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks, delegate work, and monitor performance to maximise machine uptime.

Salary is £49,395 with a £3,301 shift allowance (£52,696 total). The role operates on a 4 on 4 off schedule with day and night shifts. You should be an experienced, time-served engineer with relevant qualifications and leadership ability.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong technical knowledge in heavy manufacturing and maintenance.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and CI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift on day-to-day maintenance activities and ensure high machine availability.
• Coordinate workload, plan preventive/planned maintenance and improvements.
• Mentor and develop maintenance engineers and apprentices to build succession plans.
• Ensure compliance with H&S standards and ISO 9001/14001 requirements.
