Job summary

Wiltan Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in the UK. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing production machinery, diagnosing faults, and carrying out preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background with a practical, proactive approach to problem solving. Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background.
• Hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Repair, maintain and modify basic tooling and machine components where required.
• Maintain mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Work with external contractors where specialist repairs or servicing are required.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair records.
• Assist with general factory, plant and facilities maintenance.
