Job summary

ATA Recruitment is partnering with a large manufacturing business in Skipton to recruit a hands-on Maintenance Engineer. You will keep the site running safely and reliably, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and tackling machine faults to minimise downtime.

This role offers a salary of £42,000–£50,000 with a 10% shift allowance, and the chance to contribute to continuous improvement and equipment upgrades within a long-established operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to diagnose mechanical/electrical faults.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Proactive approach to preventive maintenance and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across production machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Complete fault finding and root-cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support machinery upgrades and installations.
