Job summary

Coastland College is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Machinery and Land-Based Engineering to join the Agriculture department at Kingston Maurward. You will teach and assess across the Agriculture curriculum, delivering hands-on learning and applying engineering principles in workshop and farm settings.

A strong emphasis on health and safety and industry-standard practice will underpin all teaching, preparing learners for careers in agricultural and land-based industries.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualifications and a degree-level qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline are desirable.
• Experience in machinery operation, maintenance, and engineering principles is preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS disclosure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across the Agriculture curriculum in machinery and land-based engineering.
• Assess learner progress and provide practical, hands-on learning in workshops and on the farm.
• Promote health and safety and industry-standard practice in all sessions.
