Job summary

Prestbury Primary School is offering a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship in Prestbury. You will work 32 hours per week across breakfast and after‑school sessions, 7am‑9am and 3pm‑6pm, with team trainings and time allocated for your Level 3.

From day one you’ll be on the floor, helping with activities and supporting children’s development in a fast‑paced, multi‑site setting, while earning a wage and working toward your Level 3 Educator qualification.

Qualifications

• No formal childcare experience needed — we'll teach you, attitude matters more than CV.
• You'll be on the floor from day one, running activities and supporting children's development.
• You'll work toward your Level 3 Educator qualification while earning a wage.

Responsibilities

• Supporting delivery of breakfast and after‑school club sessions across one or more partner primary schools
• Planning and running age‑appropriate activities for children aged 3‑11
• Supervising children during free play, structured activities and meal times
• Supporting children's emotional, social and physical development
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well‑organised environment
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns through the correct channels
• Building relationships with children, parents and school staff
• Completing apprenticeship coursework, observations and portfolio work alongside shift work
