Job summary

Topsie Yeovil Nursery invites applications for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice. The role supports 0-5 year olds, with on-site training and assessment, and potential for permanent employment on completion.

You will work around 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within opening hours 6:00am–8:00pm, for an expected duration of 1 year 3 months, with ASPIRE TRAINING TEAM LIMITED as the training provider.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe environment for children.
• Support with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery.
• Help keep the unit clean and tidy and assist in meal preparation.
• Support colleagues and build good relationships with families.
• Assist with trips out and picking up children from school.
• Model positive behaviour and help create a stimulating environment.
