Job summary

Accor is seeking a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager for the open-plan Wanderlust Bar & Restaurant at ibis Styles London Gatwick Airport. You will lead day-to-day kitchen operations, be hands-on during service, and drive high-quality food in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role requires at least 3 years in a senior kitchen position, strong leadership, solid food-safety knowledge, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior kitchen role (hotel, pub, or restaurant).
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations while remaining hands-on.
• Prepare and present food to a consistently high standard.
• Manage, train, and motivate the kitchen team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, rotas, and waste management.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service.
